[:en]Saturday, September 25th, many students from the Vittoria, the Middle School (Vittoria Junior), and both the International and Linguistic high schools, together with parents and teachers, participated in the World Clean-Up Day. Two busloads of students joined the “mission” to clean the Po river. The organizers Decathlon and Rachel’s Learning Centre, gathered everyone by the river between Settimo and Castiglione. From 10:00 to 13:00.the volunteers gathered rubbish in a concerted effort to battle the negative impact of the growing habit littering in public places. The event was covered widely in the News.

[:it]Numerosi studenti del Vittoria, dalle medie (Vittoria junior) alle superiori (Liceo Linguistico e Vittoria International School), accompagnati da alcuni genitori e docenti, hanno aderito sabato 21 al World Cleanup Day, partecipando a una “spedizione” di pulizia del fiume Po. Gli organizzatori, Decathlon e Rachel’s Learning Centre, hanno riunito i partecipanti nella zona fluviale tra Settimo e Castiglione. Dalle 10 alle 13, i volontari del clean up, hanno raccolto,con grande serietà e impegno, una notevole quantità di immondizia, manifestando tangibilmente la loro volontà di lottare contro il littering, il crescente malcostume che vede i rifiuti gettati o abbandonati con noncuranza nelle aree pubbliche. L’evento ha avuto riscontro sui principali quotidiani e su alcune testate on line.
